Completed in 2019, The Spokane County – Craig Road Maintenance Facility services the fleet vehicles, snow plows and Herbicide Control needs for Spokane County on the West Plains. The state of the art facility includes three independent structures totaling over 16,000 sq. ft. of buildings. The largest is the Maintenance Facility Building totaling 11,680 sq. ft. It is a Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings with integrated structural mezzanine. It has dual 100 ft. long drive-thru bays, linear trench drains for snow melt collection, vehicle exhaust systems, CO detection, air/water/power stations, parts room, storage, office space and crew break areas.

The Herbicide building at 3,058 sq. ft. is a smaller Pre-Engineered metal building version of the Maintenance Facility with its primary function being to service and store the noxious weed control vehicles. It has dual 60 ft. drive-thru bay, a centralized drain for runoff collection, chemical storage room, crew restroom and break facility.

The Warm Storage Building at 3,936 sq. ft. is a post framed structure with the sole purpose of housing snow plow equipment in a covered and heated environment to ensure the maximum lifespan for county taxpayer purchased equipment.

The project location is a unique adaptive reuse of an old Spokane County gravel pit over 18 acres in size.
